Destroy an Ahana Compute Plane

Destroying an Ahana Compute Plane deprovisions the AWS resources that were provisioned when the Ahana Compute Plane was created. Nothing in the Ahana SaaS Console is deleted, including the settings that were used to create the Ahana Compute Plane.

The Ahana Core AWS Infrastructure Policy must be attached to the provisioning role to destroy or to provision an Ahana Compute Plane. See Detached Core Infrastructure AWS Policy.

To destroy an Ahana Compute Plane:

  1. In the Ahana SaaS Console, select Clusters.

  2. If any clusters are present, delete all clusters. See Delete a Presto Cluster.

  3. Delete any Ahana-managed S3 buckets. See Delete Ahana-managed S3 Buckets.

  4. Select the account name in the top right, then select Account Settings.

  5. In AWS Setup, select Destroy.

  6. Select Confirm.

If an error message displays There were issues destroying your Ahana environment. Please try again., repeat steps 5 and 6. If the error message reappears Contact Ahana Support.
